Itinerary

4 Days / 3 Nights Aswan / Luxor

Day 1: Aswan City Tour - Aswan
  • Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be warmly welcomed by our English-speaking representative and transferred by private air-conditioned van to your Nile cruise ship. Check-in is before 12:00 PM, followed by lunch on board.
  • After lunch, begin your guided tour with a visit to the High Dam, built in 1960 under President Gamal Abdel Nasser to protect Egypt from Nile floods. Continue with a scenic motorboat ride on the Nile to Philae Temple, a Graeco-Roman masterpiece dedicated to the goddess Isis. Conclude your tour at the Unfinished Obelisk, carved from red granite and dedicated to Amun Ra.
  • Return to your ship after the tour. The evening is free at leisure in Aswan, with dinner and overnight on board.

Note: If you arrive early in Aswan, the tour may start immediately to avoid waiting for the 12:00 PM check-in.

Day 2: Kom Ombo - Edfu
  • Enjoy breakfast on board your ship before meeting your Egyptologist guide for a visit to the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Return to the ship for lunch on the sun deck, taking in the beautiful scenery of the Nile as you sail.
  • In the afternoon, take a chariot ride to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. After the tour, return to your ship and spend the afternoon relaxing on board. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by a lively Egyptian Folkloric Show presented by the cruise staff.

Day 3: Luxor West Bank - Luxor
  • Enjoy breakfast on board your Nile cruise before beginning a magical journey through Thebes, the sacred land of ancient Egypt. Explore the West Bank of Luxor, starting with the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of the Theban pharaohs and rulers of ancient Egypt. Continue to the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, a magnificent architectural masterpiece carved entirely into the mountainside. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, the towering statues of King Amenhotep III.
  • Return to your ship for lunch, then enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight will be on board the cruise.

Day 4: Check Out - Luxor East Bank
  • After breakfast at 08:00 AM, check out and begin your tour of the East Bank of Luxor. Visit the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious complex ever built, covering an area of over one hundred acres. Continue to the Temple of Luxor, originally constructed by a king of the 12th Dynasty and later completed by the famous Pharaoh Ramses II.
  • At the end of your tour, you will be transferred by private air-conditioned van to your chosen location in Luxor, marking the end of our services.

Day 1: Luxor East Bank - Luxor
  • Upon arrival at Luxor Airport or train station, our representative will transfer you by private air-conditioned van to your Nile cruise ship. Embarkation is before 12:00 PM.
  • In the afternoon, explore the East Bank of Luxor, beginning with the Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest and most impressive structures ever built. The main temple, dedicated to Amun Ra, was considered the earthly home of the god. While much of the complex dates back to the Middle Kingdom, some structures may trace as far back as the 3rd Dynasty.
  • Next, visit the Temple of Luxor, located in the heart of ancient Thebes. Originally built by a king of the 12th Dynasty and later completed by Ramses II, this temple, like Karnak, was dedicated to the chief god Amun Ra.
  • After the tour, return to your ship to rest and refresh. In the evening, enjoy a lively Egyptian Folkloric Show hosted by the cruise staff, followed by dinner on board and overnight stay in Luxor.

  • In the afternoon, explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Return to the ship and relax on the sun deck, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Nile, where the ancient Egyptian civilization once flourished along its banks.
  • Dinner will be served on board as the cruise sails toward Aswan. Arrive in Aswan in the late evening and spend the night on board.

Day 4: Aswan City Tour - Aswan 
  • Start your day with breakfast on board your ship, then join your Egyptologist guide to explore the great city of Aswan. Next, enjoy a scenic motorboat ride on the Nile to Agilika Island, home to the Temple of Philae, a Graeco-Roman masterpiece dedicated to the goddess Isis, mother of Horus.
  • Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, an impressive red granite monument dedicated to Amun Ra, one of Aswan’s most remarkable sights. Return to your ship for lunch, followed by afternoon tea on board. The evening is free for leisure in Aswan. Dinner and overnight will be on board the cruise.

Day 5: Disembarkation from cruise - Departure to Cairo
  • After breakfast, check out from your cruise. Our representative will accompany you to Aswan Airport or train station for your onward flight to Cairo.
  • Optional Tour: Embark on an excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples, either by private coach or domestic flight. Upon arrival, meet your English-speaking guide and transfer by private air-conditioned van to Abu Simbel, located 180 miles south of Aswan on the western bank of the Nile in the ancient region of Nubia, historically known as Meha. The site was first documented during the 18th Dynasty, when Ay and Horemheb carved rock-cut chapels nearby.
  • Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II, dedicated to the god Ra-Horakhty, and the Smaller Temple, dedicated to Ramses II and his queen, Nefertari. After the tour, return to Aswan and transfer either to your hotel for check-in, rest, and refreshment, or to Aswan Airport to catch your domestic flight to Cairo.
